Scot Armstrong
Scot Armstrong is originally from Chicago, where he studied improvisational comedy under Del Close at the Improv Olympic and also trained at the Second City. At the UCB, he’s been seen in many shows, including FEATURE FEATURE, ASSCATT and MOTHER. For the stage, he directed THE NAKED BABIES and SECRET SLUT which won a trip to the Aspen comedy festival. As a screenwriter, Armstrong co-wrote OLD SCHOOL, STARSKY & HUTCH and ROAD TRIP with Todd Phillips. He also did uncredited work on ELF and BAD SANTA. Armstrong has two new movies slated for production this year: HEARTBREAK KID written for Ben Stiller and SEMI-PRO written for Will Ferrell. His new film, SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS, stars Jon Heder and Billy Bob Thornton and opens Sept. 29th. Armstrong’s production company, American Work Inc., is producing films with Radar pictures, New Line Cinema, Dreamworks and Warner Brothers. He lives with his wife Kerry and his dogs Dewie and Louise in the East Villiage.
